Mrs. Suthiluck Sa-ngamangkang, Consul-General of Thailand to Vancouver as Chair of the ASEAN Consuls-General in Vancouver (ACGV) in2017 presided over the 23rd ASEAN Charity Golf Tournament on July 28, 2017 at Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country in Richmond. The event was attended by more than 200 people and received great support from the Thai community and business sectors.
The ASEAN Charity Golf Tournament was first organized in 1994 by ACGV with the purpose to create a fun-filled and exciting sporting event with a charitable component. The funds raised in the past events had been donated to various organizations such as the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC, the Society for Children & Youth BC, the Autistic Network for Community Achievement (ANCA), and the Canadian Red Cross. This year ACGV donated the raised funds to the Western Society for Children (WSFC), a non-profit organization that aims to create an inclusive barrier-free community for families and children with disabilities by helping them reach their full potential.
