On January 21, 2017, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Vancouver organized a Buddhist Merit-Making Ceremony to commemorate the 100th day of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at Exhibition Hall at Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre in Vancouver, BC. Mrs. Sutthiluck Sa-ngarmangkang, Consul-General of Thailand to Vancouver, presided over the ceremony which was attended by officials and staff of the Royal Thai Consulate-General, the Thai Trade Centre, the Thai community in Western Canada and their families of more than 250 people.

The participants also paid homage to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej by lighting the candles and observing moment of silence in remembrance of His Majesty’s tireless dedication to the improvement of the Thai people’s livelihood and the sustainable development of the nation. On this occasion, the Royal Thai Consulate-General also organized an exhibit on “Sufficiency Economy” and opened condolence books for the participants to sign and express their loyalty and gratitude to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
