On 3 July 2015, Royal Thai Consulate-General in Vancouver and Bangkok University presented “LOR: Love, Obsession, Revenge” at Fei & Milton Wong Experimental Theatre. LOR was a theatrical performance, especially created by BU Theatre Company, Bangkok University from the famous Thai literature called “Lilit Phra Lor”. This performance combined Thai classical dances and martial art (sword fighting) with Western dances and theatrical stage performance. It was highly appreciated by more than 250 Canadian, Thai, and foreign audience. Among the dignities who attended the performance were Mr. Chak Au, member of Richmond City Council; Mr. Ken Kwan, representative from Ministry of International Trade of the British Columbia and well-known businessmen such as Mr. John M. Darch, chairman and founder of Doi Chang Coffee Company, Ltd.
In addition to the performance, the Royal Thai Consulate-General organized an exhibition on Banmaerameong School, Tak Province, northern Thailand, which is under the Royal Project of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The fund raising project is under the collaboration between the Royal Thai General-Consulate in Vancouver and the Canadian International Education Assistance Foundation to improve and provide education opportunities for children in the aforementioned school. These activities were part of the grand celebrations of the 5th Cycle Birthday Anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
