The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Vancouver organized “Thai Cuisine in the Garden” on 13 August 2015 to introduce and promote the arts of Thai culinary, Thai food, and Thai exported products, which are in accordance with Halal standards. Among the numerous Thai dishes, desserts, and drinks presented were Thai crepes with assorted stuffing, Pad Thai, BBQ chicken with sticky rice, Thai papaya salad, chicken-pineapple curry, Thai pudding, Thai custard, Thai potato cake, Thai pumpkin cake, Thai tea, coconut juice and lemongrass tea.
Participants to this event were representatives from the public sector of Vancouver, members of the consular corps, businessmen and friends of Thailand. All 70 invited guests expressed their appreciation to the Royal Thai Consulate-General for the continued introduction and presentation of Thai culture, especially the verities of delicious Thai food and drinks to Canadians and foreigners residing in Vancouver and nearby cities in Western Canada.
On this occasion, the Royal Thai Consulate-General also displayed exhibition on Ban Maeramoeng School in Tak Province to raise fund for the education development of children in remote areas. The project that has been jointly organized by the Consulate-General and the Thai community throughout this year.
