On 27 May 2016 Ms. Sutthiluck Sa-ngarmangkang, Consul-General of Thailand to Vancouver, accompanied by Mr. Narat Vidyananda, Consul, welcomed Ms. Nancy Wu, Executive Director of Trade and Investment, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Alberta, at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Vancouver. After a brief introduction of the Ministry by Ms. Nancy Wu, the two sides discussed ways and means to further promote trade and investment between Thailand and Alberta in various fields including energy, renewable energy, agriculture, technology and innovations.
Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Alberta was created in October 2015 to support greater economic growth and diversification for Alberta’s development. It comprises of 4 divisions namely Economic Development and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) Division, Trade and Investment Attraction Division, Science and Innovation Division, and Strategic Policy and Corporate Services Division.
