Ms. Sutthiluck Sa-ngarmangkang, Consul-General of Thailand to Vancouver, met with Thai Community in Fort McMurray, Alberta to exchange views and give consultations on various consular services such as passport, nationalization, legalization, national identity card, and the protection of Thai nationals.
On this occasion, the Consul-General informed the Thai Community about upcoming mobile consular services in Calgary between 26-28 July 2016 and in Edmonton between 30 July – 1 August 2016. She also informed them about the Royal Thai Consulate-General’s projects in 2015 and 2016, which included the participation at the Multicultural EXPO 2016 in Fort McMurray on 13 February 2016, and the prospective projects in 2017, which included the possibility of organizing a Thailand Corner at Buffalo Wood Regional Library in Fort McMurray.
The meeting was conducted in a warm and candid atmosphere. The Consul-General expressed the Royal Thai Consulate-General’s readiness to assist the Thai Community on their activities to promote Thainess and Thai culture in Fort McMurray. The Thai Community welcomed the visit and the participation of the Royal Thai Consulate-General to the Multicultural EXPO 2016. They also expressed their support for the Royal Thai Consulate-General’s projects with the view to expanding cooperation between Thailand and Canada in all fields.
