On 13 October 2019, Royal Thai Consulate-General in Vancouver organized a ceremony in remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great at Yanviriya 1 Buddhist Temple in Vancouver. About 120 people, including Royal Thai Consulate-General’s officials, representatives of the Thai Trade Centre, Thai residents in Western Canada, and their families attended the ceremony.
On this occasion, Mr. Nontawat Chandrtri, the Consul-General, led all the participants in laying a wreath in front of a portrait of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and observed 89-second silence to demonstrate their gratitude. The ceremony also included candle lighting ceremony and Buddhist merit-making ceremony in dedication to the beloved King.
