Thai junior taekwondo athletes led by Dr. Somkid Pinthong, Secretary General of the Taekwondo Association of Thailand, and Coach Choi Young-Seok participated in the 2016 World Taekwondo Junior Championships at Bill Copeland Sports Centre in Burnaby, BC between November 16-20, 2016
Thai junior athletes have won a total of 3 medals; 1 gold medal from female – under 46 kg category (Ms. Napaporn Charanawat), 1 silver medal from male – under 48 kg category (Mr. Saran Tangchatkaew) and 1 bronze medal from male – under 45 kg category (Mr. Yutthaya Khongkraphan).
On this occasion, Ms. Sutthiluck Sa-ngarmangkang, Consul-General of Thailand to Vancouver, congratulated the Thai athletes and team for the achievement.
