On 6 February 2018, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Vancouver organized a Thai cultural booth during the “Asian Studies Day” at Langara College. Hosted by the Asian Studies Department, this event aimed to promote cultures, arts and tourism of countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
During the opening ceremony, Dr. Lane Trotter, President of Langara College, welcomed and expressed his appreciation to participating Asian Consulates-General for their cooperation and supports of this project. On this occasion, Dr. Trotter also expressed his wish and willingness to further promote cordial ties and collaboration with countries in the Asia-Pacific region in all fields. Other activities of this event included traditional performances, the displays of cultural handicrafts, tourism destinations and local products from numerous countries such as China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines and Thailand. There were more than 600 professors and students taking part in this joyous cultural event.
